Jermaine Johnson
Senior Pastor
Reverend Jermaine Rashun Johnson is a devoted servant of God, an anointed preacher, a lifelong student of the Word, and a compassionate leader. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he proudly represents the Titusville community.
In February, Rev. Johnson answered the call to lead Green Liberty Baptist Church as Senior Pastor. He brings with him years of ministry experience, unshakable faith, and a heart deeply rooted in love for God and His people.
Rev. Johnson accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of eight. Although he found success in the wireless industry, he experienced a deeper spiritual awakening following the loss of loved ones in 2005 and 2008. These life-changing moments led him to lean on God like never before, experiencing supernatural peace and renewed purpose.
In 2010, Rev. Johnson surrendered to God’s call to ministry. He preached his initial sermon in April 2012 and was ordained in 2014 under the leadership of Dr. A. B. Sutton, Jr., Pastor and Founder of Living Stones Temple in Fultondale, Alabama.
Rev. Johnson is a product of the Birmingham City Schools System, a proud West End High Alum. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries from Point University and a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham.
He is passionate about reaching both the local and global community. Rev. Johnson led the I.R.O.N. Mentoring Ministry, which provided weekly mentorship to students at Carver High School in Birmingham. He has also partnered with the Christian Revival Church Association (CRCA) in Monrovia, Liberia, to support church leadership and community development.
Affectionately known as “Pastor J,” he is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. With a heart for worship, teaching, mentorship, and outreach, Rev. Johnson is deeply committed to loving God, trusting His Word, and transforming the community through Christ.
At Green Liberty Baptist Church, Pastor J is leading with vision, passion, and purpose—guiding us as we seek “New Heights” in faith, fellowship, and service.
